Characteristic farm located a few hundred meters from the beautiful Brolio Castle, in an area that is an extraordinary mix of nature and history, in the heart of the Sienese Chianti in Tuscany, immersed in the absolute tranquility of the woods.
The square-plan farmhouse opens onto an entrance hall with a barrel vault and a historic pavement from which the original stone stairs lead to the four bedrooms on the first floor, all equipped with their own bathroom made with fine finishes and all with wooden beam ceiling and original terracotta floors: each room has been painted with different pastel colors and high frills.
The current master bedroom is large in size, with a large bathroom with separate tub and shower, original terracotta flooring, walk-in closet, hallway and small laundry room. From here a short flight of wooden stairs leads to an attic storage room.
On the ground floor, an old cellar with a cross vault has been transformed into a splendid kitchen, where the protagonist is a beautiful sink carved from a single piece of Carrara marble. Adjacent is a pantry room and a technological and laundry room.
Outside the square plan, but adjacent to it on one side, a large room that once housed ox carts, skillfully restored, overlooks the ancient farmyard.
Also, on the ground floor we find a large room now used as a bedroom with adjoining bathroom, and a living room with fireplace and terracotta floor, obtained from an ancient stable, communicating with the kitchen: both rooms have structural vaulted ceilings in use at era in the territory.
The construction dates back to the end of the 19th century, was built using construction methods of the time, exposed stone masonry, and is based on a rocky spur. In 2010, the total renovation of the roof of the entire building took place, adequately insulated, and built in compliance with anti-seismic regulations.
The property was brought back to life between 2010 and 2012 by the current owners thanks to a careful restoration. The restoration work was conservative and characterized by great respect, preserving, and enhancing the stones and all the original materials.
Likewise, the pastel colors that envelop us as we walk through the house, the high painted ruffles, the different shades, distinguish rooms and living areas, and remind us of the painting methods of the past.
All rooms are comfortable and welcoming, furnished with old Tuscan-style furniture and antique beds. In general, the furnishings match the terracotta floors and the beamed and tile ceilings, and everything creates an atmosphere that is always romantic and charming.
Attached to the property there is a swimming pool, garden, agricultural land, and woods.
Today it is an accommodation facility that offers its guests a period atmosphere enriched by contemporary comforts that can make a stay truly unforgettable.
