Ancient masseria part of the architectural structure of Agnano and dating back to the fourteenth century.
The property is protected by a double wall. The first wall, higher and more protective, is made up of the typical tuff ashlars (now aged) where it is possible to find numerous shell fossils. Inside this first wall is the nucleus of the masseria: a two-storey building that houses the main house and three apartments.
The whole is surrounded by a garden with splendid olive and citrus trees, on the typical red soil and on the “chianche” (large local stones). In this garden there is the swimming pool.
On the first floor of the building, a splendid terrace offers a spectacular panoramic view of the countryside.
The second wall, on the other hand, has been completely rebuilt by hand with dry stone and encloses a vast green land with a new olive grove and an old farmyard.
The floors (identical in every room) have been reinterpreted with square slabs of different materials, in warm and neutral colours that perfectly embrace the typical yellow of the “Lecce stone”.
The wooden window frames have been redone by local artisans following the original model.
Particular attention goes to the beautiful bathrooms: the large washbasins, stretched from wall to wall, are made from entire huge blocks of Lecce stone.
The suites are different from each other, but all characterized by large spaces and house works of art by various Italian artists. The living space is different in each suite but is always divided into a dining area and a relaxation area.
The linear and minimal kitchens, in bleached oak, are fully equipped.
Finally, the furniture and finishes have been chosen by the best Italian design companies such as Cappellini, Gervasoni, Meridiani and Oluce.
Now the masseria is on the rental market with a very innovative formula, different from the standard B&Bs and agritourisms because it offers much more than a nice room with breakfast. The atmosphere is exclusive, unique and magical.
